White-Publishing is the result of Barbara Nelson Blinn’s dream to be a published author, a dream she was unable to fulfill in her own lifetime. Now, more than sixteen years after Barbara’s death, Dr. Carol Ann Blinn White is making her mother’s dream a reality, fulfilling her legacy.

Barbara grew up poor, and was bullied in school. Her feelings of inferiority and inadequacy deprived her of the self-confidence needed to truly spotlight her gifts and talents at a young age, and life became even more difficult in her adult years. Barbara eventually overcame many incredible obstacles through tenacity and God’s grace. She became a positive example to many trying to escape abusive situations. Barbara endured several legal battles, courtroom drama, and publicity as a victim that helped increase awareness about domestic violence in her home community. During these times, writing was a lifeline of comfort and reflection for her. By putting pen to paper, Barbara worked through her challenges the best she knew how. Her writing likely saved her sanity as well as her life.

After escaping an abusive marriage, Barbara spent several years trying to recover. She enrolled in business college and obtained a degree in office management. She eventually became the office manager of a local factory.  Finally, she was able to begin writing more during the latter years of her life.

Carol is now introducing the public to Barbara's writings so others can learn about her inspirational story and enjoy her literary works.
