Barbara entered many poetry contests between 1981 and 2005. She won nearly two hundred awards in fifteen states. Carol typed and arranged the poems into this first of four volumes of her mother's beautiful words. She also added editorial comments at the end of most poems to give the reader better understanding of what she was most probably thinking while writing them.
